I had the best time co-hosting a baby shower for the beautiful Crystal & Baby Carina last Sunday at Moxie Kitchen + Cocktails! If there is anything I know, it is that this group of girls takes a theme SERIOUSLY. Also, I cannot say enough good things about Moxie’s staff. They helped us unload all of our decorations, set up and load everything back up. They were a tremendous help!
The mama-to-be’s only request was the theme of lemons, so we bought out all of the lemons Publix had to offer, and built ourselves a lemonade stand! All of our decor was DIY and for the most part pretty easy to pull off.
The yellow mirror in the first pic was bought at The White Elephant in Ocala. I painted it with yellow chalk paint, and used paint markers for writing then added the fresh greenery. The beautiful centerpieces were done by Tiffany. She filled mason jars with sliced lemons and water, and then added in the baby’s breath. For the lemonade stand, I bought four white crates from JOANN Fabric and nailed them together. I nailed on wooden rods (also Joann’s) to string up the Lemonade sign. This part took the longest because it turns out I’m a little dangerous with a hammer! The entire thing only took maybe 2 hours, and you you can turn it into a side gig after the party $$. It all came together so beautifully, and Florida gave us the perfect weather and picturesque backdrop!
Party hosts! I am seriously hashtag blessed with the best group of friends/worker bees. These girls seriously CRUSHED it!
