Transitional Wardrobe Pieces to Take You Into Fall

It’s that time of the year where summer feels like it is wrapping up, but it’s not quite fall yet. I’m so ready for some cooler weather, weekends full of football, pumpkin spiced everything & OF COURSE fall fashion! Since Starbucks is launching pumpkin spice today, it feels like it’s officially fall y’all! Unfortunately down here in Florida it’s still 90 degrees, so I want to talk about my favorite pieces to wear during this awkward “going into fall but still feels like summer period”.

Jean Jackets

I LOVE denim jackets for transitioning into fall in Florida. They’re perfect because they’re light enough to layer over a cute dress with booties, and not sweat to death while it’s still hot out. I’ve had the same Old Navy denim jacket for a decade and it is SO SO comfortable. I also love my Levi’s one and my over sized Show Me Your MuMu one. My favorites right now are below:

Floral or Print Dresses

I love a short floral dress paired with booties and a denim jacket! I don’t know what it is about this looks that makes me feel so stylish and comfy. Dresses are perfect for this transition time too because they’re still cool while it’s so warm out. Here is a look at some of my faves:

Flare Denim

I’m so pumped that flared denim is making a comeback right in time for fall! I just got in my Express flare overalls and I’m OBSESSED. These are the perfect length to wear with wedges while it is still warm out. The ones I got and some other faves are below:

Booties are a fall staple. I love to add in a lot of open toed styles while it is still warm out. I’ve been very into a more western look lately, too. For fall in Florida, I love to pair my booties with shorts, dresses and skirts to add that fall look while staying cool! Some of my choices are below:

Hats & Sunnies

I am super into felt rancher hats right now! I have even found some really nice options on Amazon. I have one that has changed my personality and makes me feel like Carmen Sandiego, ha! Also, just because the season is changing doesn’t mean that us Florida girls don’t need our sunnies anymore. Some of my faves of both are below:

I am looking forward to this new season, and can’t wait to see how everyone wears some of these looks! Now go get that pumpkin spiced latte y’all!
