What I’m Reading – August & September

Hey y’all! I’ve been super busy this last month or so, but don’t worry I’m still reading my books!!!

In August I finished P.S. I Still Love You, which is Jenny Han’s sequel to To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before. I mentioned this book on my What I’m Reading July post.

It was quite the adventure for Lara Jean in the second book, and honestly I don’t want to say too much in case you decide to read it. Let’s just say that it was enough for me to decide that I need to finish the trilogy, so I am currently reading the last book Always & Forever Lara Jean.

Lara Jean is smack dab in her senior year of high school deciding where she will go to college, and struggling with the relationship implications this decision brings along with it. I love the way Jenny Han has written these books, and honestly they make me a bit nostalgic for the days when life’s choices revolved around colleges, and what boy you’re crushing on.

This series is an easy, light read perfect if you just want to curl up with a book for the afternoon or need a travel read.

I’m also reading This Will Only Hurt A Little by Busy Philipps. I’ve loved Busy since she was Audrey on Dawson’s Creek, so naturally I love this book. She’s funny, she’s honest and she’s entertaining. Each chapter is a glimpse into a chapter of her life. I’ve really enjoyed reading along with her journey. I have always thought it is fun to get a little glimpse into a celebrity’s life, and she really doesn’t spare any details!

Per my norm, I have been reading all of these books on my iPad via the Libby app! You can link this app to the Duval County Library and check out tons of e-books. There is already a great selection, but they will even let you recommend titles not currently in their library. I get a lot of use out of this, so much in fact that I have my library card number memorized. I highly recommend taking advantage of this library feature!

Happy reading friends 🙂
