Wrapping Up 2019

It’s wild to think that we are just one day away from 2020! Honestly when I was a kid, I thought by 2020 we’d be flying cars and life would look like the an episode of the Jetsons!

I feel like 2019 FLEW by, which is why I wanted to take the time to recap my favorite things that happened this year. So in no particular order…

I hit the 250 class milestone at Pure Barre – This was such a huge personal accomplishment that I had to blog about it! If you missed it, check it out here.

I got to see some FANTASTIC concerts including Cher, New Kids On The Block, Backstreet Boys, Blake Shelton & Kelsea Ballerini! My inner tween DIED at BSB!!!

I got to see TWO United States Women’s soccer matches in person – USWNT is a big deal in our house, so it was so so great to see them TWICE this year.

I celebrated four years with the Duval County Property Appraiser’s Office – Four years has flown by working for the PAO, and I’m looking forward to continuing to learn & grow!

I welcomed two new little squad members – Little Carina and Brody joined our gang this summer!

I got to explore cities I’ve never been to like San Antonio & Philadelphia, and visit old faves like Nashville, Charleston & Dallas!

We celebrated three years of marriage – Year three has been good to us, and I’m looking forward to seeing what year four has in store!

I started my blog Kat’s Letter Box – I finally stopped saying “I’ll start it one day” and let go of my fear and launched this blog!

I met lots of rad babes through 904 Boss Babes – I have met some really fabulous local ladies through these networking events!

I tried indoor skydiving – Court, my dad and I took the plunge at iFly Jacksonville earlier this year. I have ZERO desire to actually jump out of a plane, so this was as good as it gets for me!

We got scooters! Or as I like to call them “Towncenter Harleys”… This is my new favorite way to get around the hood.

I got to see some great shows like The Little Mermaid, Mamma Mia, Disney on Ice & Bert Kreischer.

My fabulous friends surprised me with the Lah Dee Dah Travel Spa! I got to ring in 34 playing dress up and singing my lungs out with some of my best girls.

All in all, 2019 was a great way to wrap up this decade. I spent the year blessed to be surrounded with family and friends, and ultimately ended the year so thankful for another trip around the sun with those I love most 🙂

It is so weird to think that another decade has come and gone… I have to say 34 year old Kat is in a much better place than 24 year old Kat. At 24 I was so insecure, and honestly a big mess on the inside. I was struggling with who I wanted to be as an adult; I just wish I could go back and tell that girl we were gonna be okay & to stop stressing. I am a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and I am SO ready to just keep learning and growing. I can only imagine what 44 year old Kat will think when looking back on this chapter.

Cheers to 2020 babes!
