Mother’s Day is only 10 days away! This year is certainly a different time of celebration. Some of us don’t live where are moms are, so we may not even see them this year. Or, social distancing might’ve messed up your normal Mother’s Day tradition. This is why we have to think outside of the box when it comes to Mother’s Day gift ideas!
With that said I want to share some idea’s that may not be conventional, but will still make for a fun day with your momma!
Book an experience to enjoy later: I am all about experience gifts lately. Sure getting things can be fun, but the memories you build from an experience are way more valuable in my opinion. Send your mom a card with a gift card, or a detailed plan of an experience you all will do once social distancing is over. This could be a spa day, a weekend getaway, mani/pedis & brunch, a wine tasting, or maybe even a photo shoot together!
Have a Mother’s Day brunch via Zoom or FaceTime: Send brunch to your mom via a delivery service in her area. Include Dad too if he’s there 😉 Order brunch for yourself where you are at, and set a time to call and enjoy together! This is a great way to get some face time in with your mom if you’re not in the same area right now.
Send a sweet gift with a hand written note: I’ve linked some great, easy to mail gift options below. Instead of having the gifts shipped straight to mom, maybe have them shipped to you first and add some personal touches like a hand written note, or some photos.
Book a Zoom class together: There are tons of classes being offered via Zoom these days. You can do a virtual painting class together like the ones offered at Pinot’s Pallet. Just google zoom classes, or virtual classes in your area to see the options available!
Make a photo gift: Show mom how much you love her through photos. You could make a video compilation of favorite memories. Or, maybe use a service like Mixtiles to send her your favorite memories together.
Don’t let social distancing keep you from showing your mom just how loved and appreciated she is! If you’re lucky enough to get to spend the day together cherish every moment.
