Man oh man, time flies. I remember being a teenager and looking at people in their 30’s and thinking “GOSH, THEY ARE SO OLD!” Now that I’m here though, I still feel quite young. Aging has always given me some anxiety, but I have to say I have really enjoyed my thirties so far!
In honor of making it around the sun one more time, I’m going to share some of my favorite things that have happened & that I have learned this year!
2020 has been WEIRD
This year has given all of us a run for it! Covid has sucked, buuuuut some good has come from it. I got some time to slow down and remember what is really important. I am so thankful that I married someone I can have fun doing literally nothing with & I am extra thankful for family, friends & health this year!
We had our 4th Wedding Anniversary
FOUR whole years with my favorite guy!
I celebrated 1 year of Kat’s Letter Box
My little blog has been going for over a year now! I’ve really enjoyed the renewed since of creativity this blog has given me. While I don’t know exactly what the future holds for it, I have loved learning & growing with you all!
I had lots trips & events with family & friends
This year I got to enjoy Dallas again with friends, explore Philadelphia with my mom, enjoy Flagler Beach and Perdido Key and enjoy a few concerts. And, this was all before social distancing was a thing!
Being an adult doesn’t mean you have to stop playing
As I’ve approached 35, people act like that means I should be a boring stiff & THAT’S NOT GOING TO HAPPEN! I like to approach my adulthood with a “work hard, play hard” attitude. After all you are only as old as you feel, so keep playing and enjoying life!
People’s opinions are just that
We all have our opinions, but I’ve learned that I don’t have to let other people’s opinions of me affect my opinion of me. If I’m not your cup of tea, cool. I’m finally okay knowing that not everyone is going to think I’m fabulous!
Cricut is LIFE
This is a something I’ve learned AND something exciting that happened. I got a Cricut!!! I have had so much fun playing and creating with it. There will definitely be more on the blog about this soon.
I have the best support system
I’m pretty sure I’ve said this every year for a while now, but this year with all the crazy going on, I am extra thankful for my family & friends. We have really had to lean on each other this year, and honestly without them (y’all know who you are!) I don’t know if I would have survived this year.
I’ve mostly really enjoyed my 34th year, and I’m ready to see what’s to come. Cheers to being 35 & ready to thrive!!!!
